Through innovative experiential multimedia learning, the DreamDog Foundation empowers kids to believe in themselves and their dreams

DreamDog Foundation is out in our community making a difference -- teaching kids to believe in themselves and reach for their dreams! We believe in empowering all children to be their best and highest selves by delivering programs such as:

~ "Kids Empowering Kids" (KEK) at Title 1 Schools and other places where kids create their own inspiring multimedia songs and videos about believing in themselves, health, literacy and achieving their dreams.

~ "Books for Backpacks" (B4B) gets wonderful CiCi and Ace and Jazz the DreamDog books, music and online stories into the hands of children in need nationwide.

~ "Kids Making a Difference" (KMAD) empowers all children to become young philantropists by making a difference in their community through giving projects such as book and food collections, environmental clean-ups, cards for the elderly, Treats for our Troops, toy collections for children in need and much more.

~ "Book of My Own" (BOMO) program - through creative writing seminars, students write, produce and create a special, one-of-a-kind book of their own. This empowering program enables students to become "published authors" taking great pride in the creation of their own literary work.

~ "Poems for Peace" and "Poems of Hope" is a hands-on Writers' Funshop (too much fun to be called a workshop) where the students' poems are shared with children in need around the world (including tsunami and earthquake victims).

~ Parent Empowerment and Engagement Programs (PEEP) - these include Family Links program for teen Moms and Conexiones for our Latino community.

Our goal is to "make a difference" by having kids and parents create and promote innovative multi-media educational experiences that build self-esteem, creating opportunities for learning and growth in literacy, fitness and life. All print and multimedia educational materials that we produce support child empowerment theory, enhancing children’s ability to solve their own problems and to realize that the real magic lies within us all.

This is achieved through support for the:

· design and production of various kinds of educational materials ranging from picture books, print Braille books and reading books to curriculum guides, audio programs, and video/television programming;

· development and production of new educational media forms including Web, Internet technology, online gaming, interactive toys and other evolving media forms;

· research and evaluation of existing multi-media educational resources on the topics of problem-solving and self-esteem building in young children available in the home or classroom;

· distribution of no or very low cost children’s education materials designed to empower children and developed for various programs that work with disadvantaged children including: shelters for homeless children, head start programs, schools, pre-schools and other facilities serving disadvantaged children.
