Within Alexandria City Public Schools, Ramsay has the highest percentage of students receiving free and reduced lunch (84%), and the highest percentage of students that are in the process of learning English as a second language (59%). Our students come from more than 80 different countries, speak more than 60 languages, and represent a rainbow of ethnic and cultural groups. Ramsay's student body is 90% minority.

The Willliam Ramsay PTA helps our school by holding events such as our annual spelling bee, providing safety patrol awards and supplies for our 5th grade graduation party, and through many other initatives. A donation of any amount is most appreciated!
