Rules

Who can donate during Spring2ACTion?

Any individual may donate. Donations through the Spring2ACTion site are processed by Razoo Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity that operates a donor advised fund to fulfill donor advisements. Donations are tax deductible and irrevocable (donations will not be refunded). Contributions may be made via credit and debit card only.

What organizations are eligible to receive donations and Spring2ACTion prizes?

Alexandria nonprofit organizations (or nonprofits benefitting Alexandria) listed on the Spring2ACTion leader board are eligible to receive grants and prizes. Funds raised and prizes won must be directed towards Alexandria programs and services. Please note that private non-operating foundations cannot receive donations on Spring2ACTion.org or Razoo.com and are not eligible to win prizes.

How much of the donation will go to the nonprofit?

92% less $0.30 of all designated donations are received by the nonprofit. The Razoo Foundation retains 5.9% plus $0.30 of each donation for credit card processing and disbursement costs and 2.1% is retained by ACT for Alexandria for administrative expenses. Donors will have the option to use the “Donation Booster” to cover these fees, ensuring that 100% of their intended donation goes to the nonprofit.

Is there a fee to participate?

There is no fee for an organization to participate in Spring2ACTion.

Is there a minimum or maximum donation?

The minimum donation is $10 and there is no maximum donation limit. Donations are tax-deductible and irrevocable (donations will not be refunded). Contribution may be made via credit and/or debit card or PayPal only.

If I am unsatisfied with my donation, can I get a refund?

No, all donations made through Spring2ACTion are final and non-refundable.

What is a unique donor?

A unique donor refers to a person who makes a donation to a nonprofit on Spring2ACTion. The goal for Spring2ACTion is to engage thousands of individuals – or unique donors - to give to Alexandria nonprofits on April 20. Each person will be counted once in our “total donors” tally that will be updated every 15 minutes on the Spring2ACTion landing page. If one person makes donations to multiple organizations, they will be counted once per organization on the leader boards.

When individuals donate for Spring2ACTion, who will receive this information?

The nonprofit organization receiving the donation will receive the contact information for the donor. As the host of Spring2ACTion, ACT for Alexandria will also receive the information to thank the donor for participating in Spring2ACTion; provide the option to opt-in to receiving notifications from ACT; and to notify the donor of future Spring2ACTion activities and updates.
